This article provides basic work instructions for the Document module in Relatics 5, including how to create and upload documents, link them to relevant folders, and retrieve and manage associated elements such as document types, versions, and approval status.

Introduction
In this module, you can manage all project-related documents. Documents often form the foundation for meetings, decisions, and key project milestones. Relatics allows you to register, link, and maintain a clear structure and version history of all relevant documentation in a transparent and consistent way.

Objective
The goal is to ensure that all project documents are easily accessible, traceable, and up-to-date. In many projects, information gets lost in emails or shared drives. Imagine searching for the latest version of a contract or report without knowing who edited it last or where it’s stored—that’s both inefficient and risky.

Solution
Relatics offers a central environment where documents can be registered, linked to project elements, and version-controlled. By using this module consistently, teams ensure that everyone works with the right information, avoid duplication or outdated versions, and support reliable project execution.

This article provides basic work instructions for the Risk and Opportunity module in Relatics 5, including how to identify and register risks and opportunities, assess their impact and likelihood, and retrieve and manage associated elements such as mitigation measures, responsible persons, and status updates.

Risk

Introduction
In this module, you can manage all project-related risks. Risks may arise from project assessments, stakeholder input, or unforeseen developments. Relatics enables you to identify, assess, mitigate, and track these risks in a structured and transparent way—helping you stay in control throughout the project lifecycle.

Objective
The goal is to ensure full traceability and clarity around all project risks. In many projects, risks are only informally discussed or inconsistently documented, which can lead to missed threats, unmanaged exposures, or repeated mistakes. Imagine trying to explain how a residual risk was accepted without having a clear record of the assessment and mitigation steps taken.

Solution
Relatics supports a consistent risk management process—if used correctly. By registering risks, assessments, mitigation measures, and any resulting residual risks in this module, you build a clear and up-to-date risk overview. This improves project decision-making, accountability, and enables proactive management of potential issues.

Work Instruction – Risk

Opportunity

Introduction
In this module, you can manage all project-related opportunities. Opportunities may arise from creative insights, stakeholder input, process improvements, or changes in external conditions. Relatics enables you to identify, categorize, and track these opportunities in a structured and transparent way—so you can actively capitalize on potential benefits throughout the project lifecycle.

Objective
The goal is to ensure full traceability and clarity around all project opportunities. In many projects, valuable ideas or chances for improvement are lost because they are discussed informally or not followed up on. Imagine missing out on a cost-saving or efficiency gain simply because no one documented it properly.

Solution
Relatics supports a consistent opportunity management process—if used correctly. By registering opportunities and their types in this module, you can keep track of all the opportunities that arise during the project.

This article provides basic work instructions for the Issue Management module in Relatics 5, including how to create and track issues, link them to relevant subjects, and retrieve and manage associated elements such as status, priority, deadlines, and responsible persons.

Introduction
In this module, you can manage all project-related issues. Issues can arise unexpectedly during project execution and often require quick analysis and resolution. Relatics enables you to document each issue in a structured way—capturing its cause, effect, related subjects, and the chosen resolution—ensuring clarity and control throughout the process.

Objective
The goal is to ensure full traceability and understanding of all issues that impact the project. In many cases, issues are discussed ad hoc and not formally documented, which makes it difficult to track recurring problems, assess their impact, or evaluate how they were resolved. Without clear documentation, valuable insights and lessons may be lost.

Solution
Relatics supports a consistent issue management process—if used effectively. By registering issues in this module, describing their cause and effect, linking them to relevant topics, and documenting the outcomes, you create a transparent and searchable issue history. This helps teams to learn from past problems, reduce repetition, and strengthen project resilience.

This article provides basic work instructions for the Planning module in Relatics 5, including how to create and manage project phases and milestones, link them to relevant activities or deliverables, and retrieve and manage associated elements such as deadlines and status.

Introduction
In this module, you can manage all project-related planning elements. Projects typically progress through defined phases, each marked by key milestones. Relatics enables you to create, edit, and structure these phases and milestones in a clear and consistent way—helping you maintain oversight and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Objective
The goal is to ensure full traceability and structure in the project planning. In many cases, phases and milestones are loosely defined or scattered across different documents, which can lead to misalignment and unclear expectations. Imagine trying to determine when a milestone was achieved or what phase it belonged to—without a centralized and structured overview, this becomes difficult.

Solution
Relatics supports a structured planning process—if used consistently. By defining phases and milestones in this module, and linking milestones to the relevant phases in a hierarchical structure, you create a clear and navigable project timeline. This enhances transparency, supports progress monitoring, and aligns all stakeholders around key project moments.

This article provides basic work instructions for the Change Control module in Relatics 5, including how to create and manage change requests, track their status and approvals, and retrieve and manage associated elements such consequences nd related documentation.

Introduction
In this module, you can manage all project-related changes. Changes are often triggered by undesired events, such as issues or risks that require a formal response. Relatics enables you to register the trigger, attach relevant documentation, define required actions, and assess the impact of the change in a clear and traceable manner.

Objective
The goal is to ensure structured decision-making and full traceability of project changes. In many projects, changes are handled informally, making it difficult to track why a decision was made, which requirements were affected, and who approved it. Without a centralized system, change management can become inconsistent and risky.

Solution
Relatics supports a consistent change management process—if used effectively. By registering changes in this module, documenting their cause, linking them to impacted subjects and requirements, selecting consequences, and capturing approvals, you create a clear and traceable record of all changes. This helps teams manage impact, ensure accountability, and maintain control over evolving project requirements.

This article provides basic work instructions for the Trade-Offs module in Relatics 5, including how to create and document trade-off decisions, variants and link them to relevant subjects.

Introduction
In this module, you can manage all project-related trade-offs. Trade-offs often arise when making decisions between conflicting requirements, functions, object, or activities. Relatics enables you to capture, structure, and evaluate these trade-offs in a transparent and consistent way—supporting well-founded decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Objective
The goal is to ensure traceability and clarity around all significant project trade-offs. In complex projects, choices are often made based on discussions or implicit reasoning, which can lead to confusion or repeated debates later on. Imagine needing to explain why a technical solution was chosen over a cheaper alternative—without a record of the rationale, that’s a challenge.

Solution
Relatics helps formalize this process. By documenting trade-offs in this module—including the options considered, evaluation criteria, motivations, and the final decision—you create a well-structured record that supports transparency and accountability. This enables your project team to reflect on past decisions, align stakeholders, and make future trade-offs more efficiently.

This article provides basic work instructions for the Objective module in Relatics 5, including how to create and track objectives and link them to relevant subjects.

Introduction
In this module, you can manage all project-related objectives. Objectives represent the goals or intentions that the project aims to achieve and often serve as a foundation for defining requirements and verifying success. Relatics enables you to document each objective in a structured way—capturing its context, related requirements, and validation path—ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project.

Objective
The aim is to provide full traceability and clarity regarding the objectives of the project. Without a central place to define and structure objectives, it becomes difficult to monitor progress, ensure alignment with stakeholder goals, or verify that project outcomes meet expectations. Clear documentation of objectives supports better planning, decision-making, and quality assurance.

Solution
Relatics supports a consistent objective management process. By registering objectives in this module, linking them to requirements and verification, you build a clear and auditable goal structure. This improves traceability, strengthens project control, and ensures that the project delivers what it set out to achieve.

This article provides basic work instructions for the ConOps module in Relatics 5, including how to create and manage user processes, define (end) users, and add related user stories and scenarios. It also explains how to retrieve and manage associated elements to ensure a clear operational understanding of system use.

Introduction
In this module, you can define and manage all operational aspects of system use, including user processes, (end) users, user stories, and usage scenarios. These elements help to clarify how the system will be used in practice. Relatics enables you to document this information in a structured way—capturing user needs, roles, goals, and interactions—providing a clear and shared understanding of system usage from a user perspective.

Objective
The goal is to ensure traceability and alignment between system design and actual user needs. Without a structured approach, user expectations often remain implicit or are only discussed informally, making it harder to validate whether the final system meets real-world demands. Proper documentation supports communication, validation, and alignment with stakeholders.

Solution
Relatics supports a structured ConOps (Concept of Operations) process. By registering user processes, defining roles and responsibilities, and linking user stories and scenarios, you create a clear operational context for system development. This helps bridge the gap between users and technical teams, ensures functional relevance, and supports verification and validation throughout the project lifecycle.
